Texas State Fair

My mom came to town last week and we went to the Texas State Fair. It was fun since I hadn't been to a state fair since Jr. High. We saw the BIGGEST pig and BIGGEST cow either of us had ever seen. Like Austin Okuda says, they do things bigger in Texas I guess. We ate fried Coke - an experience - and I included a photo of the little disc-like things here. Keegan enjoyed seeing all the strange animals. I thought he was appropriately dressed in his overalls for the occasion. We also saw a lot of fried alligator and alligator kabobs but opted to skip that. We did, however, try fried green tomatoes and I am a fan. Definitely worthy of a movie. After having a funnel cake with strawberries and some free Dr. Pepper floats, we were stuffed!!

Now you are a true Texan. Everybody should experience the Texas State Fair. Did you see Big Tex?

Oh yeah! We saw Big Tex all right - and he's BIG! I'm not ready for the fried alligator, but I was lovin' the fried green tomatoes and funnel cake.

I hope you're coming for a visit before too long Sarah. I'd love to see you out here again. :)
