Day Out

Today we spent the day together as a family for the first time in a long time. Andy has had school Monday through SUNDAY for over 5 weeks. Today he had the day off from school so we did something fun. First we ate Greek food at Stratos. It was honestly the best Greek food I've ever had. The gyros were enormous and the spanokopita was delicious. Keegan seriously ate a 2x2 in square of spanokopita (I thought he would hate the spinach) and loved it. Then we drove across Dallas to the Dallas Arboretum to see the Blooms Festival. There were 4,370,000 blooming bulbs, over 150 azalea bushes, and thousands of other flowers in bloom. The arboretum was over 66 acres of flowers, grassy areas, water fountains, an old town Texas village, and winding paths. My favorite were the tulips. I took tons of photos (148) so I'm posting a few (ha,ha). We all had a great time getting out in the 75 degree sunny weather and walking around. It was so fun to do something different as a family. There are some fun things to do here in Dallas if you have the time and money to do them!

Keegan was amazed by the waterfalls.

Andy couldn't pass up the opportunity to wrap a rattlesnake around Keegan for a photo. Aren't they a cute pair?

These parrot tulips were my favorite.

Did we mention that Keegan LOVES water!

Only in Texas do you see a longhorn cattle bush!

Keegan was hot so we let him play on the soft grass in his onesie. He was a big hit with passersby.
