We just got back last week from a trip to Portland, Oregon to visit Andy's sister Krista and her family and check out the area. We had so much fun! The timing was perfect because we left the day after Keegan's Birthday, which was Nicklas' 1st birthday, and then the next day was Christian's 10th birthday. We had 3 days of fun, fun, fun and parties; then a week of visiting which was also fun, fun, fun. Andy worked with Clint Demaris a bit while we were there and really enjoyed it and the Demaris family came over for a BBQ too. Thanks Erik and Krista for all to GREAT food! We loved Portland and have a lot to think about as far as where we will end up when Andy graduates. Here is a list of my favorite things from our Portland trip.
1. Visiting with family and Keegan playing with his 5 boy cousins all day.
2. A fun downtown area with great shopping and restaurants in old, refurbished buildings and stunning views of the river.
3. Beautiful landscape all around.
4. The beach is within 2 hours of Portland.
5. Lots of unique shopping areas like Multnomah Village
6. Inexpensive produce and the WinCo grocery store. I could save so much $$$ there!
7. Mountains and hills which we lack in Texas.
8. NO Humidity!
The 2 trouble makers
Lookin' cute in his birthday suit.
"K-Dog" as Kurt called Keegan and the other "K-Dog" Kurt. Keegan really loves his cousin!
Keegan and Nick sporting their birthday outfits from their Nana.
Max being silly.
Keegan ate 3 wedges of pineapple at Sweet Tomatoes and then kept putting his hands in his mouth. I bet the sores were coming on strong!
Nick got his 1st taste of ice cream.
Ice cream does funny things to a baby!

ahhh, it looks like you guys had a great trip. I don't think I have actaully ever met Krista, but if she is at all like her brothers, I am sure she rocks! nonetheless, it looks like you all had a blast.
Visting with the cousins is the best! Keegan looked like he was loving all the boy-time!
