A Fat Lot of Good...



Hi all!  I am so excited to tell you all about this blog.  This has been planned for SO long, but today I finally got a minute to contribute at last.  I have started contributing to "A Fat Lot of Good...", a nutrition, exercise, and healthy lifestyle blog along with 2 awesome women.  

Nikki was my college roommate and an Ironman Triathlete.   She's an ironwoman in the truest sense of the word.  She has a lot of knowledge to share about exercise and good living.  Most importantly she is a mother who's balancing motherhood with all the other demands of life and still taking care of her body.

Melissa is also an athlete and lover of the outdoors.  She is a mother of two so she also knows a thing or two about finding ways to exercise and keep our families healthy.

Of course you all know that I am a registered dietitian so my love is nutrition.  I will be writing about food, recipes, and other tips.  I am also revitalizing my career now that Graham is doing better and life is normalizing (whatever normal is). 

Life is never easy, but we have to prioritize ourselves.  We only get one body and it's our responsibility to take care of it.  As mothers we are the gateway to our family's eating & exercise habits for the rest of their lives.  What children learn in the home is what they take into the world and how they will pattern their lives.  I feel that this is so important!
